Game Preloader Ad.

Don't know if it's possible and I don't know whats involved.I did use to have a standalone arcade script that would allow a preloader ad before the game starts.I know stuff like that is banned from being used by G's adsense ect: but I always found it useful to add messages that I wanted members to read and also place their ads if they so wish.

Would something like that be possible?

I have most of the arcade scripts if you need them I'll send them..If memory serves me well,this is what they were using..jquery-preloader and you can view and download it here..

Give it a try..

ibProArcade >> Your Settings >> Use which skin? ...change the skin to ibProArcade from the drop down box,,then click on (Update Settings)..

Now go play a game..

It works really well..Better than gamefeed sites..Some of them have preloaders which allow the game to load in the background due to gamefeed games ie: Mochi having their own pre ads,meaning you have to wait around 15 seconds before you see the game..You don't have that problem with the majority of tar games as they are loaded at max 5 seconds..Does it have the possibility to show multiple ads? Or do you think it could be incorporated some how..

I have it set to load the game in 5 seconds..

Show multiple ads ? more than one image at a time ?

Yeah, random images,so when they play another game it will show another random ad..

Looks like the next-level-arcade just went up another level :onthego:..Now all we need is something to force or alert users to stop using adblock software as you can block the ad (not the loading bar)..Mochi have a great way of doing this as the games won't submit scores to leaderboard if adblocks are used.

Failing that I suppose we could always use plugins to alert users, for vb as an example http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...=254450&page=2 which will work in all versions and a similar one here http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=262525 Wordpress and others have similar plugins..

The ads from the one arcade skin is just the ones I made up to test the ad preloader..

I dont put any ads in any games..
Some games come with their own ads tho..

Well I admit I have not paid attention to any mods in a while and only dropped by here and grabbed a few games every now and then.
I didn't even realize you had paid mods TBH

My tournaments and challenges have not worked right since 4.1 or so and I have been on the fence wanting to move to Xenforo cause I really dislike vb5 but We are happy at 4.2
I would use this even without paid ads, I would use it for random funny sayings, heckling or quotes like a fortune cookie. If you still have it laying around I'd like to play with it.
