There's nuthin like a good brownie...my hockey boys say these are the best!
1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup minced walnuts
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Melt margarine. Add remaining ingredients in order. Beat well. Bake in lightly greased 9" square baking pan at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
Frosting:
2 cups icing sugar
2 tbsp. soft butter
2 tbsp. sifted cocoa
2 tbsp. boiling water
2 tsp. vanilla
Mix all together while brownies are baking. Spread over brownies as soon as they come out of the oven so the frosting will melt. Frosting will settle when cooled.
