Possibly the best rib recipe going! Works great with the less expensive side ribs, too...

3 lbs. ribs, cut into serving size pieces
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Place ribs in large pot, cover with water (although I like to use pineapple juice, gives a nice additional flavour to the meat.) Bring to a boil, then simmer at medium heat for an hour.

Meanwhile, stir the remaining ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, reduce to low heat and let simmer, uncovered, stirring often, until thickened, 20-30 minutes.

Preheat broiler and set rack in middle of the oven. Line a baking sheet with tin foil. Drain the ribs and place meaty side up onto the baking sheet. Brush with half the barbecue sauce. Broil about 7 minutes (watch carefully, depending on the temperature of your broiler, they may scorch.) Turn ribs over, brush with the remaining sauce, and broil for another 7 minutes until glaze is bubbling.
